Description:
I'm selling my beloved marine system including all livestock as I'll be giving up the hobby to invest in other interests. This is a custom built system. It's made up of the following:
5 x 2 x 2 ft display tank
37 gallon (170 liter) 3 section sump with biological substrate and live rock filtration
Total system volume = 150 gallons (approx. 680 Litres)
Aquaone G220 protein skimmer
Eheim Compact Pump (flow rate adjustable)
LED Lighting System - both display and sump tanks (brand new on display)
All electrical components including 2 x lighting timers (day and evening lights) and power boards
Extra 3 foot T5 top mount spare light fitting (good condition) supplied
Custom made pinewood cabinet - very easy access to sump
Over £400 worth of live rock
Livestock:
Porcupine puffer, rockmover/dragon wrasse, yellow tang, maroon clown, filefish, sea urchin and probably a turbo snail I've had for years but haven't seen in a while, and the odd emerald crab. Only come out randomly at night so who knows.
As you'll see in the pictures I've had a little hair algae build up, this was from changing out the T5 lamps with the wrong ones not that long ago, it's starting to go down which the change in lighting system and recent addition of the urchin will soon sort out. If I was keeping this system I'd make little improvements like some more live rock, some additional live sand for the dragon wrasse to sleep under as he continues to grow, and a UV filter. It would look amazing then. All in all because of its size it's a pretty low maintenance system, even with the messy eating puffer. Who's a character like they say, begging for food and spitting water at you when he's hungry and you're hovering over the tank.
I'm not going to quote total cost of everything to show what a good deal selling this system at this price is, at the end of the day it's a hobby, not an investment. I just hope the next owner will get as much enjoyment out of it as I have over the last couple of years. Buyer to pay on collection and responsible for transportation. I have 4 x 25L drums to help you with transporting water but you'd need to get the rest and I have an ex salt drum (25L) for transporting the puffer. There's also a 2/3rd's full 25L drum of Red Sea salt to go with it and all the cleaning equipment. Everything you need to look after this well established system once relocated. I relocated my previous 300L system during winter from north to south London with all fish and two anemones doing fine. Would be happy to assist the buyer with man power at my end. Please contact me (Scott) on 0779 559 1783 if you wish to view the system or ask any questions.
