Description:
Amazon Frogbit (Limnobium Laevigatum) is a stunning floating plant which looks like a small water lily. It has beautiful long 'hairy' roots which provide a natural, secure environment for shrimps, fish eggs (esp. killi eggs) and fry.
An added benefit of having Amazon Frogbit in your tank is its ability to absorb many excess polluting nutrients from tankwater thereby starving out algae and creating a healthy environment. I've never had algae or unclear water in tanks with lots of Amazon Frogbit. Water stays crystal clear and it's possible to look across a 4ft tank and see the opposite end with 100% clarity.
These plants have been grown in heated indoor shrimp-safe tanks, hence a far reduced risk of transmitting diseases compared to outdoor grown plants.
To reduce damage to the plants they will be packed with a sprinkling of water in a resealable bag and then posted within a cardboard plants box.
